Patriotic Cupcakes
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Red food coloring
- Blue food coloring
- White frosting
- Red and blue sprinkles
- Patriotic-themed cupcake liners
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners with a patriotic theme in a cupcake pan
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl with a whisk
Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in another bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing them in with the milk every other time
Start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk
Don't mix any further than that
Take the cupcake batter and divide it into three equal parts
Leave one part alone and color another with red food coloring
Do the same thing with blue food coloring to make red, white, and blue batter
Put a little of each color of batter into a cupcake liner to make a layered look
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
After the cupcakes have cooled in the pan for a few minutes, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
Once the cupcakes are cool, put white frosting on top of them and add red and blue sprinkles for a patriotic look
Your American Flag cupcakes are now ready to eat!
